Teacher - Maternity Cover (September 2019 for up to two terms)

Full-time: 32.5 hrs

Main Scale £23,720 - £35,008 (Subject to Teacher's Pay & Conditions)

Would you like the opportunity to be a part of a successful and growing school family?  Are you ready for the challenge of contributing to the development of an expanding school?  Then read on…!

The Governors are seeking to appoint an outstanding teacher to join our team, providing maternity cover for up to two terms.  This is an exciting time in our school's development, as we are currently in the process of expanding to 1.5 FE, growing to 315 full-time and 26 part-time pupils by 2023.  With a brand new extension and refurbishment of existing facilities, we are well equipped to deliver an exciting and engaging curriculum to our enthusiastic and hard-working children.  Hob Hill is unique as Staffordshire’s only CE/Methodist Primary School and offers a caring, community atmosphere.

The postholder will be working alongside our established staff team in a Key Stage 2 class.  Recent experience of teaching in KS2 using the mastery approach will therefore be a significant advantage.  Applications from NQTs, recently qualified teachers and those with more experience are welcome.  There will be opportunities for the postholder to take on a subject leadership role as appropriate to their experience and we have an active programme of CPD.

We are seeking:

*An effective, creative and highly organised classroom teacher with high expectations, who is able to motivate pupils to make excellent progress

*A teacher experienced in teaching in KS2

*An enthusiastic team member who will become an active part of the school family

*An individual who is committed to their own professional development

*A person who will support and promote our Christian ethos and values

We Can Offer:

*Happy, confident and friendly children with a real enthusiasm for learning and with a recognised high standard of behaviour

*A caring Christian atmosphere within our family orientated school, where each individual is valued

*A successful and popular school, judged to be Good by both Ofsted (March 2014/September 2018) and SIAMS (September 2014)

*A committed and talented staff team and supportive governing body

*Opportunities for further professional development

Visits to the school are strongly recommended. Please contact our Bursar, Mrs Lisa Gallear, to make an appointment.  Application documents are available to download below.
