Legal Support Assistant (Grade 5)

Commercial Contracts team

Salary:  £18,319 - £19,819 per annum (pro rata)

37 Hours per week – Fixed Term 12 months

To join a busy Contracts Team in a forwarding thinking Local Authority Legal Team.

You will have a good general standard of education to at least NVQ Level 2 (or equivalent) with a minimum of 2 years in a relevant legal environment. You will have experience of organising the preparation and processing of legal paperwork and documentation, carrying out research, proof reading and file management. Experience of contract matters is desirable but not essential.

You will also have strong organisational skills, an ability to prioritise and competently carry out legal work on your own and on other officers’ files, good customer care skills, a ‘can do’ approach and be able to contribute effectively to the performance of the Contracts team. You will have strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.

The successful candidate should be personable, confident and able to build strong internal and external relationships.
