The Governors at Clarice Cliff Primary School are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, hard-working and committed SENCO from September 2019.  This is a part time position; actual hours will be agreed at interview.  Applications are welcome from both aspiring and experienced Special Educational Needs Co-ordinators and the school will support with the completion of the National SENCO Award if necessary.

We would like to hear about your recent experience, key strengths and any involvement of working with children with special educational needs.

Clarice Cliff Primary School is a happy and welcoming school and a great place to work. Visitors regularly comment on the good behaviour of our pupils and the friendly and supportive ethos throughout the school.

Our staff and governors are extremely dedicated and committed to providing a high quality education for our pupils. We are looking to employ someone who would work well in our team.

The successful candidate will:

  • Have a secure knowledge of the Primary curriculum and SEND code of practice
  • Have completed or be prepared to complete the National SENCO Award
  • Have high expectations
  • Communicate well with colleagues, pupils and parents
  • Work well as part of a wider staff team
  • Be committed to improving outcomes for our children and their families
  • Have knowledge of a variety of interventions to support pupils with Special Educational Needs
