35 hours a week, Monday to Friday

Worcestershire County Council are seeking to appoint two skilled Advanced Public Health Practitioners, to improve and protect the health and wellbeing of the Worcestershire population. 
The first post will support the “Keeping People Safe” agenda, focusing on the development, delivery and evaluation of public health programmes and initiatives that protect and safeguard the Worcestershire population from harm. Particular areas of focus could include leading or supporting statutory work on health protection, community safety (violence prevention and domestic abuse) and emergency planning.
The second post will support the "Empowering People" agenda, focusing on Health Improvement and reducing Health Inequalities through the delivery and evaluation of Public Health programmes and initiatives that promote health, wellbeing and independence, in line with local priorities.
You will be experienced in and enthusiastic about partnership working and will be required to apply strategic skills in representing Public Health in statutory Board’s and meetings and supporting influencing key partners and working effectively with other Council Directorates. The postholders will support a range of Public Health duties and interventions, providing evidenced based Public Health advice and expertise as required.
The full-time postholders will work directly with the respective Consultants in Public Health and Senior Public Health practitioners, who lead on these areas of business.
