Project Manager (Financial Systems)

£37,849 - £39,782 per annum

37 hours per week

3 Year Fixed-Term Contract

The Council is seeking to replace its main financial systems. The main elements of the systems are:

• General Ledger
• Creditors
• Sundry Debtors
• Income Management

The systems are used by officers across the Council, and are central to the management of the Council’s finances. The new systems, potentially from a single provider, will be key to transforming the finance function and helping to ensure all aspects of financial management are understood and adhered to.

We are looking for a Project Manager to manage the process for re-procurement of the systems, and the subsequent management of the implementation, training and going live of the chosen solution.

The successful applicant needs to have proven experience at leading on complex projects, including implementing new systems. This will involve working with officers from across the Council, of many disciplines, together with suppliers. Ideally there should be a background in Project Management, ICT or Accountancy.
