Deputy Head Teacher with RE Lead Responsibility
The Governors of St Joseph’s Catholic Primary School are looking to appoint an enthusiastic Deputy Head Teacher who loves being part of a warm and witty teaching team. This role is permanent, working full time, with a class teaching commitment of 3 days and 2 dedicated non-contact days each week. You will find that St Joseph’s is full of eager learners and smiling faces - adults and children. The role is to begin January 2020.
St Joseph’s Catholic Primary School is a lovely place to work. We enjoy excellent relationships with pupils, parents and the parish, where trust and good communication are the bedrock of our success. The staff are welcoming, friendly and knowledgeable, always eager to share a good joke or a cup of tea and a slice of cake (or two). We are a fabulous school, continuously looking to improve the learning experiences of our pupils, whilst balancing our teachers’ work-life balance. We are hoping to gain the Warwickshire Fair Workload Charter Mark this year.
This role also includes curriculum responsibility for RE. Previous experience of leading RE is desirable but certainly not essential. Your spirituality and passion for lifelong learning can overcome any hurdles!
We are looking for an experienced, practising Catholic teacher who:
- has a growth mindset and eagerly promotes this in school
- demonstrates enthusiasm, creativity and the ability to problem solve
- is a confident and passionate user of technology in the classroom
- will challenge, inspire and motivate others, leading by example
- has a keen sense of humour and a love of chocolate biscuits
- displays commitment to the protection and safeguarding of children
