Cover Supervisor

Nether Stowe is part of The Arthur Terry Learning Partnership (ATLP) which is a highly successful Multi-Academy Trust (MAT) encompassing 4 secondary schools, 8 primary schools, a Teaching School, and SCITT.  Our MAT is currently expanding and will soon be 14 schools, 5 secondary and 9 primary, based in North Birmingham, Tamworth, Lichfield and North Warwickshire.

COVER SUPERVISOR

Payscale : Grade 5, Points 16-20, Salary Range £18,319-£19,819 (actual salary £15,757-£17,047)

(We are undertaking a review of our pay and grading structure and grades may therefore be subject to change)

Hours:  37 hours per week

Contract:      Fixed Term for One Year, Term Time plus 5 inset days

Start Date:    Required for September 2019

The Role:

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and inspiring Cover Supervisor.  You will need to be able to cover lessons by using an appropriate range of supporting strategies which meet individual learners’ needs to ensure all pupils make good progress and supervise whole classes. The role requires an individual capable of ensuring the behaviour management system is implemented in the curriculum area so that effective learning can take place and is able to set high standards of work and behaviour for themselves and others across the school and be a positive role model to all.

This post is covered by Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) and therefore the ability to speak fluent and spoken English is an essential requirement for this role.

The successful candidate will have a good standard of general education with good literacy, numeracy and ICT skills.  Experience of working with 11-16 year olds is desirable.  An induction programme will take place.
