SPECIALIST TEACHER OF THE VISUALLY IMPAIRED
Salary: £22,917 - £38,633 per annum (pro rata) plus SEN allowance (£2,106 - £4,158)
22.75 Hours per week – Permanent
We are seeking an enthusiastic, motivated, experienced and fully qualified, Specialist Teacher of the Visually Impaired (0.7 FTE) to join a well-established local authority team. This is a peripatetic post supporting C&YP with visual impairment and their families in homes, mainstream, and specialist settings across age ranges.
We operate county wide but deployment can be flexible dependent on the needs/location of children and the skills/experience match of the appointee. Currently, the area will include Burton upon Trent and Tamworth.
Employees have a responsibility for, and must be committed to, safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people ensuring they are protected from harm. Appointment is subject to a satisfactory enhanced disclosure from the Disclosure and Barring Service.
