Wednesfield High Specialist Engineering Academy is situated in the north-east area of Wolverhampton. There are approximately 850 students attending the academy which includes 100 who are Sixth Form. This is an extremely exciting time to join us on our journey to becoming an outstanding Academy

We have close links with the University Of Wolverhampton who are our Academy Sponsor. We are also the lead school in Wolverhampton for Jaguar Land Rover and their engineering plant on the i54.

We are seeking to appoint a talented, energetic and inspiring teacher of Religious Studies/Citizenship.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record for raising both attainment and achievement in Computer Science and ICT. They will be able to inspire colleagues and students and offer fresh ideas, as well as being resourceful and keen to achieve the highest possible standards for our young people.

The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate a secure understanding about how disadvantaged students in science, and beyond, can make significant progress.

The Commerce department at Wednesfield High School is highly ambitious, recruiting well at Post-16. The post would be ideal for anyone with ambition, drive and passion who wants to work with a committed team of professional staff. The Academy is committed to high quality professional development, supporting staff to take the next steps in their professional career.

A relevant degree

Must be willing to teach Citizenship/RE at key stage 3 and 4

Experience of strategies / interventions to assist disadvantaged students to make good progress

Passion for English and enjoy working with young people

Establish successful relationships at all levels

Maintain effective communications

Demonstrate appropriate inter-personal skills

Ability to prioritise time effectively

Self-confidence and presence

Personal impact, commitment, enthusiasm and integrity

Sensitivity to the needs of a diverse academy population

Willingness to maintain their professional development
