The Governing Body wishes to appoint a KS2 class teacher for September 2019. Walton Priory operates a ‘primary’ style model of class teaching in Year 5 and Year 6, with the benefit of specialist subject staff for Key Stage 3. You will be joining a team of 10 other KS2 teachers in either Year 5 or Year 6.  KS2 teachers benefit from a joint PPA afternoon led by the Progress Leader.  Year teams include a mix of NQT’s and experienced teachers.  NQTs are well supported and the school is friendly and welcoming.

In each year group in KS2 there is a ‘maths mastery’ trained teacher.  The school has recently become the only middle school in the country to win an ‘Enthuse Engineers’ bid which will provide specialist training and resources for STEM subjects.

 Applications are welcome from people who:

  • are committed to raising standards and attainment for all pupils;
  • are committed to creating an environment that nurtures and stimulates positive attitudes and independence;
  • are prepared to be involved in all aspects of school life;
  • are able to work collaboratively and supportively as part of our team;
  • have qualified teacher status or are NQTs

We will offer the successful candidate

  • a skilled and forward thinking team;
  • supportive parents
  • pleasant and hardworking children
  • experienced NQT mentors

We would love you to visit our school and if you would like to come and have a look around please ring the office on 01785 550040 to make an appointment. We would ask you to submit your application asap as interviews will be held upon receipt of suitable applications.

Closing Date 24th May 2019 - midday

Temporary 1 year contract, Full time

If you wish to apply please complete the relevant forms and submit by email or post.
