For September 2019, we have the following vacancies at St Peters CE Primary School

Full time Permanent post MPS

Full time Temporary post

At St Peter’s, we are at exciting point in our development and have opportunities for talented and enthusiastic teachers.

We expect all our teachers to have high standards, excellent pedagogy and use their finely honed teaching skills to get the best from our children. Although teaching is very important, our first responsibility is to protect and nurture children.

We have a high reputation at St Peter’s for academic and creative excellence. We are building on and will continue to build our reputation for sport, SEN provision and nurture of our pupils.

Over this last year we have carried out significant development in our teaching and learning. This has included new approaches to reading, writing and maths. We are now revamping our wider curriculum offer. A key part of this approach has been changing our practice to reduce teacher workload. School is also about to embark on substantial refurbishment and updating, which will further improve our facilities.

Teachers at St Peter’s Bratton are expected to be able to teach across the age range and be prepared to do so in their career with us. Therefore, we are looking for the best teachers rather than a particular year group and have flexibility within our team. In your letter of application, please tell us where your year group strengths are.

We have visits available at these times:

Wednesday 22nd May at 3.30pm
Monday 3rd June at 4.30pm
Tuesday 4th June at 1pm, 3pm, 4pm or 5pm
Wednesday 5th June at 3pm
Thursday 6th June at 4.30pm.

Key dates:

Closing date: Friday 7th June at 1pm
Shortlisting: Friday 7th June after closing
Interview day: Either 12th or 14th June

St Peter’s Bratton is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. All successful candidates will be required to undergo an enhanced DBS check and thorough vetting procedure.

Applications to be returned to Suzanne.lees@taw.org.uk . Candidates need to detail how they meet person specification and are able to carry out the job description as a supporting statement, in no more than 2 sides of A4. The interview day will assess candidates’ suitability for the role using a variety of exercises, including a formal interview and teaching.

NQTs are welcome to apply
