Job Details

9 month fixed term contract with possible extension.

We are looking to recruit either a planner or graduate planner, depending upon experience, in a fixed term role within the Development Strategy Team.

You will be a highly motivated individual and will play an integral role in our growth agenda and deliver on our emerging Local Plan, supporting communities producing Neighbourhood Plans as well as providing advice on planning applications.

The postholder will have strong interpersonal skills and be able to engage in a positive way with colleagues, members of the council and the public in providing policy advice.

Planning Officer
Recruitment to the Planning Officer role would be to an individual who has a relevant degree or equivalent qualification with planning policy experience.

Graduate
Appointment of a graduate planner would be for an individual taking up their first role within a planning service following completion of a relevant degree or qualification.
