Job Details
We are currently looking for an EYFS NQT to join us for September; able to teach in either Nursery or Reception. We are ideally placed to support your career development and to support your NQT year. Many of our previous NQTs are now outstanding teachers and have progressed to TLR and higher responsibilities. At Temple Meadow there is so much good and innovative practice happening; that you really need to visit us, to see if this post is the one for you. We really do want the right person, someone who can fit into our school seamlessly.
We are a two-form entry Primary School, judged Good at by Ofsted. Our unique characteristics as a school are our commitment to Irresistible Learning, which puts a creative curriculum at the heart of learning. All around our lovely school, you will see colour and engaging displays. If we can make learning fun, then we always do. We have high quality CPD. Each phase is led by an AHT and we will ensure that your induction into our learning culture is supportive and immersive.
We are extremely proud of our safeguarding and day to day practice around school, keeping children safe; and working with families. You will really feel that what you do, on a daily basis is highly positive, and makes a difference to children’s lives. We so want the ‘right’ person. We are therefore seeking an NQT who shares our vision and supports our ethos. Secondly, we are looking for someone who wants to grow their career with us as we are a school with plenty of opportunities to advance and develop. We grow outstanding teachers by our imaginative and innovative approach to curriculum development.
This is an EYFS NQT post; ideally you will have experience of urban Local Authorities such as Sandwell and an understanding of the range of diverse needs that affect school life from your placements or other experiences. You will have had successful placements within EYS school settings and therefore have a good understanding of the EYS curriculum and welfare requirements.
We really are so proud of our school; we offer a vibrant and stimulating learning environment. Added to that we really do have the most fantastic pupils with excellent behaviour and attitude to learning. As a staff team we are always looking at ways to support work life balance.
We will be long listing with the first part of the interview process involving a teaching task. Then a shortlist will be invited for interview on the same day. You will need to have visited the school before you apply; so do please contact the school office to arrange a visit.
Application packs are available from and returnable to the school office. Application packs can also be downloaded from the Local Authority website. All completed applications must be returned either by post or delivered directly to the school office. Interested applicants can contact the school on 01384 569021.
Closing Date: Tuesday 11th June 2019 at 1500
Short listing date: Tuesday 11th June 2019
Interviews: Thursday 13th June 2019 at 0900
Slots to visit the school are available upon request. We always aim to accommodate a visit as we know how busy school lives are.
Temple Meadow is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of vulnerable groups including children, and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. An enhanced DBS clearance is therefore required for this role.
