37 hours per week

Any 5 days in 7 (typically 4 weekends per year on a rota)

As a result of a member of staff moving on a vacancy has arisen within the Parks Stewardship team.

The successful applicant will be willing to carry out all work required as an integral part of the team. They will need to work flexibly alongside staff at every level to support the delivery of the service and achieve the standards required, with a real focus on good customer service.

Key responsibilities:

• Compliance with the Council’s health and safety rules and procedures, and national legislation

• Duties as required to support delivery of Parks & Events Services operations – Could include Litter Picking, Fly Tip removal, Grounds Maintenance – mowing, strimming, hedge cutting etc , work on Sports Pitches and Golf Course

• Inclusion in weekend working rota – approx. 4 weekends a year

• A Driving License is essential

• Remain polite and respectful at all times, as representatives of the Council

The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate the right attitude, behaviours and personal attributes to provide a quality customer focussed shared service and work flexibly across both Bromsgrove and Redditch areas as part of Leisure Services.
