We are now looking for an enthusiastic and experienced senior practitioner OT to help manage and develop our current Occupational Therapy Duty Team and incorporate Telecare and Home Improvement Agency first contacts and initial assessment where relevant. The team is based at Elgar House in Hereford and is currently staffed by committed and experienced occupational therapy staff, who are up for the challenge of further development and expansion into the additional areas of work. Currently the team provides an advice, screening, prioritising and assessment function for occupational Therapy, and are already co-located with Telecare and HIA team members. This is a interesting opportunity for an experienced OT who is looking for a new challenge and is interested in different ways of meeting client needs within an integrated service. Strong risk assessment and decision making skills are required for this post along with a minimum of 3 yrs post graduate experience, and experience of working within a team providing "front door" services. An ability to implement change and improve and develop services is also essential.
