37 hours per week, 52 weeks per annum

Hereward is an exciting and innovative College with a reputation for high-quality provision that is responsive to the needs of our students. Based in Coventry, we specialise in providing excellent education and support to students with diverse and complex needs.
We are seeking to appoint an experienced individual to support the development of Assistive Technology at every level of the College. You will be responsible for providing an effective AT service that identifies and meets learner needs, evidences successes and engages all staff in its use and application. You will work closely with the curriculum, residential, support staff and technical resources staff to identify creative solutions and projects that will support the College towards achieving an “outstanding” Ofsted grade.
You must be able to demonstrate your capacity to work with people with specific learning difficulties/Asperger syndrome/sensory disabilities with the aim of developing their independence and potential.
You should hold a level 3 IT and/or Engineering qualification as a minimum requirement and be extremely IT literate. A level 2 qualification (GCSE Grade A – C) or equivalent in English and maths (or demonstration that you are operating at level 2 in both subjects) is essential.
It is a standard Monday to Friday work pattern, with one late evening per week (13.00- 21.00) during term time. The on-call rota requires that you are available approximately one week in five during term time.
