Grade G: £25,295 - £28,785 per annum

Cannock Chase and Stafford Borough Councils’ shared finance service is seeking a Senior Systems Technician. This exciting opportunity offers the successful applicant a chance to be part of an innovative shared finance service working across two neighbouring local authorities.

You will be expected to assist the Chief Accountant in leading the provision of  financial systems support for both Stafford Borough Council and Cannock Chase District Council.  This is a key role providing system data to underpin all areas of the service and enabling system innovation.

The successful applicant should be able to demonstrate three years experience of system maintenance and development along with the ability to provide professionally sound financial information both verbally and in writing to Officers and Members of the Council.

Previous experience of project management would also be advantageous.

In addition you should have numeracy and analytical skills, and also IT skills sufficient to create and amend documents using Microsoft Office packages such as Word and Excel.
