Assistant Caretaker

We are seeking to appoint a self-motivated Assistant Caretaker to work with fellow site team staff members to ensure we continue to maintain and develop our outstanding learning environment for staff and students.

The successful candidate will have a proven ability to liaise with people in a warm and welcoming manner and demonstrate the aptitude to build rapport and interact with people at all levels, including students, fellow colleagues, parents and visitors. Having DIY skills such as decorating, minor plumbing and carpentry skills will also add to the team’s diverse knowledge in school maintenance and development.

This is a full time role 37 hours per week, 52 weeks per year. Initially this role requires the current afternoon and evening shift to be covered between 3-5 days per week with some flexibility to work the daytime hours to cover colleagues and undertake work in the holiday periods. One in every four weekends to be worked with an unsociable allowance. 

Start date, June 2019; salary at Band D (Points 3-4) is within the range £18,065 to £18,426 per annum.
