Database Administrator
Salary: £36,153 - £39,961per annum (pro rata)
37 Hours per week – Permanent
Staffordshire ICT are looking for an experienced SQL DBA to join the team
We are looking for the following skill set
Experience is required in supporting an environment that uses both Integration and Reporting Services (inc. Power Bi Reporting Services) HA/DR provided using Always On Availability Groups with some mirroring and Hyper-V replica Supports tools used - Redgate Toolbelt / Team Foundation Server On Premise.
Ability to act as the technical lead for the authority for the database estate to provide capacity planning and to ensure that the critical IT services that are reliant on it are reliable and responsive.
Create a database Roadmap defining standards for the next 3-5 years, this will need to define when products become “end of life”, licensing arrangements and associated costs, integration with applications to ensure on-going compatibility and potential efficiencies through delivering the solution in alternative ways considering risk and benefits.
Ensure that backup and recovery solutions and Disaster Recovery arrangements are in place, are optimal and are routinely tested.
This role does require some out of hours including weekend work
