Actual Salary £18,424.61 - £20,342.25 plus LGPS Pension Scheme
37 Hours Per Week (Term Time Only)
Fixed Term Contract for 1 year in the first instance (with possibility of permanent contract at end of fixed term)

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Finance Assistant to join our Multi Academy Company, based at Our Lady and St Chad Catholic Academy, to provide effective and efficient financial planning within the Academy. This is an excellent opportunity for a hardworking and dedicated individual who is seeking to advance their career.
We are currently merging with another MAC and you will be helping to ensure a smooth transition working with finance staff across the 2 companies.
What you will be doing
- assisting the Business Director/Company Accountant with the accurate, efficient and effective operation of the finance function of the school
- performing the day to day processing of financial transactions for the Multi Academy Central Finance Department
- providing administrative support to colleagues as and when required
Who we’re looking for
To be successful in this role you will need to have:
- experience of working in finance role
- experience in using different finance systems, such as Xero, PS Financials, HCSS, Orovia, Approval Max etc, this is advantageous but not essential as training will be provided
- great people skills, including working as part of a team, working with colleagues, suppliers and contractors
- a good understanding of the operating pattern of a school, including communicating with key suppliers, and contractors to effect changes where necessary
- a commitment to safeguarding in schools
- a flair for detail, high standards of professionalism, plenty of common sense and strong organisational skills
- the ability to travel across the sites within the Multi Academy
