Support Worker - Learning Disability Support Worker - Adult Support Assistant – Coventry – 30 Hours Per Week / 27.5 Hours Per Week – Mon – Friday 09:00 – 15:00

Gosford Community Hub are day opportunities for adults with multiple and profound learning disabilities. Our goal is to provide a high standard of care for everyone who accesses the service promoting dignity, respect and independence at all times. We provide a range of activities which caters for everyone's needs here at the centre and out in the community.

We are looking for 2 x Support Assistant who can support adults with multiple and profound learning disabilities to participate in activities out in the community and in the centre.

You will be committed to:

  • Achieving meaningful and memorable days for our service users - this will include planning and running any activities.
  • Ensuring all support needs are met throughout the day.
  • Creating opportunity and choice with dignity and respect.

You’ll need:

  • Patience and persistence to find ways to communicate effectively with service users - being fun and bubbly is a must.
  • A willingness to work alone with service users as well as with colleagues.
  • Ability to carry out assessed manual handling, including hoisting and pushing wheelchairs.
