Subject Leader - SEND
A vacancy has arisen for a Subject Leader who specialises in Foundation Learning for learners with Special Educational needs and Disabilities (SEND), across a number of sites in Birmingham.
The role is primarily concerned with supporting the delivery of high quality teaching, learning and assessment, internal quality assurance, and ensuring that provision is well resourced and meets the diverse needs (including employment), of learners. It also includes delivering an agreed number of teaching, learning and assessment hours per year.
Travel between Birmingham’s Adult Education Centres will abe required and travel expenses can be claimed according to BCC Approved Mileage Scheme. The successful applicant will be flexible as some evening and Saturday work is required.
You will need to have a teaching qualification at Level 5, a SEND qualification at Level 4, as well as English and maths qualifications at Level 2.
Considerable experience of teaching relevant subjects to adults with SEND is essential.
