Higher Level Teaching Assistant
- 32.5 hours per week
- Term-time only
- G7 (SCP 28 – 33) £19,038.44 - £22,362.67 per annum
- Temporary for 1 year
The Governors are seeking to recruit an enthusiastic and motivated Higher Level Teaching Assistant commencing September 2019 for 1 year. You will be a key player in supporting the development of an exciting curriculum and further improving standards throughout the Federation, and you should be willing to work flexibly within the Federation should the need arise. The successful applicant will be working alongside our well-structured and supportive staff to help our children enjoy, learn and achieve success.
Applicants should:
- Have proven effective classroom practice.
- Be a professional who enjoys motivating and exciting children about learning.
- Have experience or training in using the Read Write Inc literacy program.
Applicants must hold the Higher Level Teaching Assistant certificate, or equivalent.
You will be required to complement the professional work of teachers by taking responsibility for agreed learning activities under an agreed system of supervision. This may involve planning, preparing and delivering learning activities for individuals/groups/classes, monitoring pupils and assessing, recording and reporting on pupils’ achievement, progress and development. The role will involve providing timetabled cover for whole classes.
The successful candidate will have to meet the requirements of the person specification in order to be offered the post and will be subject to an enhanced DBS check. We welcome applications regardless of age, gender, ethnicity or religion.
