We are seeking an outstanding Music teacher to join our highly successful Performing Arts Faculty.
The Music Department at Shireland Collegiate Academy is extremely well resourced, including a Mac suite, recording studio and numerous practice rooms with high quality rock and pop instruments, including whole class sets of acoustic guitars and ukuleles. We also have an excellent theatre space for performances. We enjoy an excellent relationship with the Sandwell Music and Arts Service who provide instrumental tuition and some classroom support and have a growing relationship with the National Youth Orchestra of Great Britain. We run a variety of after-school clubs and ensembles, and students regularly access the department at break and lunch times.
The post is based at Shireland Collegiate Academy for four days per week and one day a week at our brand new secondary school West Bromwich Collegiate Academy.
The Academy’s strong staff development focus makes this an ideal post for teachers wishing to develop their career. Candidates should be able to respond to the busy and caring atmosphere of this outstanding Academy, be able to promote excellent results, be committed to extracurricular activities and be fully involved in school life.
For an informal discussion or to arrange to visit the school please contact our Human Resources Director on 0121 565 811.
