Higher Level Teaching Assistant 

Fixed Term Contract to cover maternity leave

September 2019 until April 2020

Salary Grade I point 22 actual salary £17,052 per annum term time only plus 1 week 

Working 27.75 hours per week Monday to Friday 

 

Budbrooke Primary School is looking to recruit a creative, energetic and enthusiastic HLTA to join our hard working and dedicated staff team. The successful candidate will be committed to supporting children to achieve the very best they can through our engaging and creative curriculum.

The successful candidate will be prepared to work hard and respond positively to the challenges of day-to-day school life. They will be innovative and creative in their teaching and have a strong belief in teamwork with the ability to work collaboratively to share good practice.

You will be joining an extremely hard working, caring, highly-motivated and dedicated team with a passion for education. 

You will be required to cover Classroom Teachers subject leader time and PPA cover.

  • The successful applicant will:
    • have good communication skills;
    • have good literacy and numeracy skills;
    • have the ability to relate well to children from Reception to Year 6
    • be able to work constructively as part of a team;
    • be able to use positive behaviour management strategies to manage the behaviour of whole classes;
    • have high expectations for all pupils in terms of behaviour and academic standards;
    • flexible, adaptable and able to work on their own initiative due to the nature of this role.
