Job title: Level 4 Apprentice Desktop Analyst

Team: Education ICT Services

Education ICT Services have a vacancy for a level 4 Apprentice Desktop Analyst to join our busy team who support ICT for schools, libraries and other public spaces in Solihull. Working with three other Desktop Analysts you will provide a comprehensive range of services to school and public networks, with a particular emphasis upon installation and technical support of, networks, server, PC hardware, software and PC peripherals. You will also respond to service desk generated calls and assist with the service desk rota.

You will be required to undertake the level 4 Network Engineer qualification details of which are attached to the vacancy.

Applicants ideally will be able to drive, have a full driving licence and be a car owner, however adjustments can be made during the first year of training, and for disabled applicants, reasonable adjustments will be made where required.

You will have:

  • Level 3 ICT qualification or 2 ‘A’ levels, GCSE English and Mathematics Grade A-C or certified equivalent
  • Experience of working with and enthusiasm for computers and associated peripherals eg building computers, developing a website, etc
  • A good level of knowledge including aspects of IT such as, Networking, Hardware, Software, Anti Virus,& System Security
  • A good knowledge of Windows, Android & IOS operating systems.
  • Ability to communicate concisely both verbally and in writing to a range of people with good attention to detail.
  • Ability to organise own workload and meet deadlines ensuring work and study commitments are met at all times.
