ICT Strategic Desktop Services Officer

Scale: SO1

£26,999 - £28,785 per annum

ICT Services at Telford & Wrekin Council are searching for an enthusiastic Strategic Desktop Support Officer to join our expanding team who were BETT 2018 finalists for ICT Services and Support.

An ideal candidate would have a degree of experience of providing an ICT support service in schools and provide a customer focused reliable, flexible operational and technical support service to our Education customers. This post will support schools on a day to day basis, enabling them to operate more effectively and efficiently to improve teaching and learning through the use of ICT.

Experience with Windows 7, 8.1 & 10 and Microsoft Office 2010, 2013 & 2016 in an enterprise environment is essential.

Experience with Apple OSX and IOS devices including mobile device management solutions and Google Chromebooks is desirable.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a diverse fast-paced support team. Our aim is to provide an exceptional cost effective managed service; this includes providing advice, support and implementing solutions to primary, secondary, special schools and Academy Trusts from all over the region.
