Job Details

 Residential Team Manager

Vale Lodge is a Worcestershire County Council run children's home.  Its primary role is to provide long term 52 weeks a year residential care for four young people of either sex up to the age of eighteen, who have a learning disability and are on the Autistic Spectrum. The home caters for a range of difficulties including learning and emotional difficulties and behaviours which may challenge the service.

Vale Lodge works in partnerships with parents / carers, professionals, other agencies, and relevant people to meet the aims stated in care plans of the individual young people.

The Team Manager must manage the day to day operations of the home whilst ensuring that the quality of life and educational opportunity of the young people under their care is maximised by an appropriate, stable and robust residential placements that are comprehensively supported across all agencies, whilst offering a high standard of care. They must also make sure Safeguarding standards are adhered to, fully understood, implemented and monitored within the home setting.

The Team Manager is responsible for managing and monitoring the work and performance of all team members' Inc. sickness absence, through effective regular individual supervision, and they are accountable for the quality of the work of both individuals and the team. They must also conduct individual staff appraisals/performance reviews; identify individual training requirements and overall developmental requirements of the home.

The Team Manager will be responsible to Louise Levett, Group Manager for Children with Disabilities Social work, Short Breaks and Residential services.

Salary up to: £41,675
