The role: We are looking for an Accountant to be part of the Financial Management Division. The role will act as a financial business link with directorate service leads, providing strategic financial support and advice to enable effective financial planning and management.

You’ll need: To be an ambitious qualified or qualifying accountant with excellent communication skills, who is analytical and solution-focused. You will also need to be flexible and professional, helping us to drive change, and work pro-actively to deliver a first class service.

About us: We are a high performing, customer-focussed team providing strategic financial support to enable managers and members to understand the financial implications of decisions, and ensure compliance with relevant legislation, accounting regulations, and financial policy. We promote value for money and efficiency throughout all areas of the Council's operation, and look for opportunities for innovation both in the operation of the finance function and in the activities of service areas. We provide support and training for staff to become fully qualified accountants. 

 

 

Working Hours:  37.0 Hours per Week
