The Role


The Nethersole C of E Academy (part of The Birmingham Diocesan Multi-Academy Trust or BDMAT) wishes to appoint an enthusiastic and passionate deputy head, with responsibility for SENCO, who has an excellent understanding of learning and teaching.

The successful applicant will be employed centrally by BDMAT but work at The Nethersole C of E Academy with the expectations of driving the school forward, working in partnership with families, governors, staff, the leadership team and the head teacher. We are looking for an outstanding leader who will support and develop staff as well as being instrumental in developing and implementing school policies and procedures.

The successful candidate will be someone who will fully engage in our Christian ethos and actively support the development of spirituality and our school Christian distinctness. The role will include a teaching timetable, coaching/ mentoring staff at all stages of their career and with SENCO responsibility. It will also require working with staff from other schools and central BDAT staff.
