Job Details
Part time, 14.6 hours per week (2 days per week).
Birmingham Adult Education Service is a large learning provider operating form 11 main centres across the city. We provide a wide range of courses to post 16 learners - helping them to reach their personal/long-term goals and aspirations.
The post holder will be expected to implement a comprehensive range of Learner Services across our main sites in the city. These include adequate arrangements for providing confidential and impartial Careers, Education, Information, Advice & Guidance (CEIAG) to new and existing learners at all points of their learner journey. A good understanding of local labour market information is required. You will also be expected to identify and respond to additional support needs for learners with learning disabilities and learning difficulties in a timely manner.
You will have good written, organisational and communication skills, together with a level 2 IT, English and maths qualification and a good awareness of the matrix standards. Applicants must hold an IAG Level 3 qualification or currently be working towards one. You will need to have a flexible approach to work as some evening and weekend work will be required.
