We are looking to appoint a suitably qualified Senior Science Laboratory Technician for September 2019, to provide support for the Faculty of Science across the whole school with the ability to manage the day to day running of our friendly technical team, supporting our busy Science department.
Science is taught to GCSE including separate Sciences. Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Level 3 BTEC Applied Science are taught to post 16. Science is a very popular subject and the department achieved some excellent GCSE results in 2018.
The successful candidate will be technically knowledgeable, well organised with excellent administration and managerial skills, familiar with Health & Safety and COSHH regulations and have a flexible approach to work. This post would suit either an experienced Science Technician or a Science Graduate with experience working in and managing a laboratory.
Applicants must be able to liaise effectively with both students and staff and be willing to work flexibly within the school environment.
If you would like to visit us, see the students studying in Science and indeed meet the Science team, do not hesitate to make contact with our school reception team. They will coordinate an agreeable time and get back to you as soon as possible.
Cardinal Newman Catholic School is a very successful 11-18 Catholic school, set in the pleasant outskirts of Coventry.
