Job Details

You will be joining a dynamic and innovative Adoption Service, registered as a Voluntary Adoption Agency and has been judged GOOD following a recent Ofsted Inspection in February 2019.

We are seeking a senior social worker to undertake adoption assessment and preparation promoting early permanence as well as more traditional adoption.  Our ambition is to provide a continuous support service to allocated family’s during their adoption journey through to the making of an adoption order.

Your role will involve completing a series of home visits and reference interviews to inform the preparation of the Prospective Adopter Report format to include Early Permanence, working within timescales to inform a suitability recommendation to panel. Once approved, you will assist the family in identifying children who can benefit from their skills and family composition. You will provide tailor made adoption support and prepare the Rule 14 report that assures the court of the lifelong emotional investment and commitment that the family has made.  Your role will continue through to the making of the Adoption Order, ensuring the family has knowledge of how to access post order adoption support.
