The Shaw Education Trust is a Multi Academy Trust which opened on the 1st October 2014. It is a fast growing Trust and well regarded locally.

We are seeking to appoint:

Residential Support Worker

37 hours per week, term time only (fixed term until March 2020 but may be extended)

Walton Hall Academy

Walton Hall Academy is located just outside of Eccleshall in a rural setting with extensive grounds and amazing facilities. We are a generic special school catering for the needs of secondary aged students up to the age of 19 with a range of learning difficulties including Autism; communication; hearing; mobility and learning difficulties. Our students are referred to us from Staffordshire and neighbouring Local Authorities.

We are seeking to appoint a Residential Support Worker to work alongside our highly committed residential staff team. The Residential Provision rated Outstanding by Ofsted, provides a high level of care for up to 17 students each evening. Staff would be expected to work a split shift pattern of 7:30am – 10am and 2:30pm – 9:30pm. You will be expected to cover one sleep in per week on a rota basis. Staff do however finish at 10:30am on a Friday morning and do not return until Monday afternoon.

The post would suit someone with some school or residential experience and NVQ 3 Children and Young People qualification or working towards it.

You will have enthusiasm, commitment and a passion for special needs to join the team at this innovative and forward looking Multi Academy Trust.

The salary for this post is Grade 6 – NJC 9 - 15
