WELLBEING OFFICER
NJC Scale 4, £10,977 - £12,312 per annum
25 hours a week (9.30am-3pm with 30 minute lunch break)
From 1 September 2019 or as soon as possible thereafter
Term time only

The governors of NGHS wish to appoint a Wellbeing Officer to join our selective girls' school. This is a new post in the Sixth Form Team and a unique opportunity to work in one of the UK's top schools with students who want to learn, are committed to their schooling and are a pleasure to support. This is a permanent post and is available on Scale 4.

NGHS was ranked #1 in Shropshire in 2018 for academic results, but achievement is not only found in the classroom. The extra-curricular and visits programme, coupled with Duke of Edinburgh, Duke of York Awards, Young Enterprise, School Games Gold Award, Holocaust Education Beacon Status and lots more make NGHS a very popular choice for parents with daughters in Newport, Telford, Wolverhampton, Shrewsbury and Staffordshire.

NGHS is a very rewarding school in which to work at any point in your career. We are ideally looking for an colleague with experience of supporting young people in overcoming barriers to learning (whether that be issues outside of school, attendance, parental support etc.) as well as the empathy to relate well to girls aged 16-18. Full details are in the pack, which can be downloaded below.

NGHS is committed to safer recruitment practices. An enhanced DBS check is required and references will be taken up for all shortlisted candidates.

If you have any questions about the role, please contact Mr M J Scott, Headteacher, via headteacher@nghs.org.uk

Closing Date: Friday 28 June 2019 at 9am.
