Teacher of Music

Required from September 2019 (Temporary one year contract)

MPS

Invictus Education Trust was created in March 2015 by a group of like-minded schools: Ellowes Hall Sports College, Crestwood, Kinver High and Ounsdale High. Leasowes High School and Pedmore Technology College also joined in autumn 2016 to strengthen an already thriving trust.  We know that by coming together as six schools we can raise standards to heights we could never achieve alone. The staff are already collaborating to help provide the very highest chances of examination success. We have set ourselves the target of having our students compete with the very best - be they from State or Independent schools.

We are looking to appoint a newly qualified, talented and inspirational Music Teacher who is passionate about their subject.

Teacher of Music

Required from September 2019 (Temporary one year contract)

MPS

We are looking to appoint a newly qualified, talented and inspirational Music Teacher who is passionate about their subject. The successful candidate will be a well-qualified, outstanding practitioner who can teach music up to GCSE (with the additional opportunity to teach to KS5) and is committed to promoting and developing high quality music provision within our school.

The school is proud of the opportunities it offers for talented musicians to develop their potential and demonstrate their abilities. We are keen to recruit a music teacher who will have expertise in coaching vocal ensembles, bands (both contemporary and traditional) and high achieving soloists. Ideally you should have high order keyboard or guitar skills, as well as a drive to inspire students to perform in concerts and musical productions as part of our established extra-curricular programme.

Additionally it would be advantageous for candidates to be competent music ICT users, since we have recently added several Mac computers, running Logic Pro X, to our well-resourced department.

This post is ideally suited to an enthusiastic music teacher who is keen to develop their career within a school that has talented and cooperative students, supportive parents and good opportunities for professional development.

Being a member of Invictus Education Trust brings additional opportunities for staff including support from the Invictus Director of Music and Performing Arts, subject specific professional development and the chance to regularly share best practice with music and performing arts colleagues from across the Trust. Students also benefit from being part of the Trust through access to ensembles, development activities such as samba drumming and the Invictus Choir.

If you would like to know more about this position then please contact Mrs R Hickman, Principal’s PA, or visit our website: www.ounsdale.co.uk where you will find the link to apply.
