Aspirations Co-ordinator

Kingsbury School

Grade I: £26,317 - £28,785 (£12,790 - £13,989 pa - this is the pro rata salary for term time only).  Part-time, term time only plus three teacher training days

21 hours a week, 3 days working 8.30 am until 4.00 pm (with half an hour’s unpaid break)

In this new and exciting role, the Aspirations Co-ordinator will take a lead in facilitating opportunities for students outside of the classroom.  Spanning years 7 to 11 the role will entail supporting students to maximise their potential to make the best possible vocational choices and to develop their career management skills.

You will develop links and work closely with a range of staff, stakeholders and employers, arranging events, activities and speakers and making the opportunities outside of Kingsbury School accessible to all our students.

There is a requirement to have undertaken or be willing to undertake a level 6 Diploma in Career Guidance and Development in accordance with DfE good practice and to meet the careers mark accreditation.

You will feel comfortable and able to advise and guide in order that students’ aspirations are raised and in order that students overcome barriers to learning to make a successful transition into adult life.  You will need to have the knowledge, tenacity and communication skills to make a difference, engage students and raise the profile of all pathways available for students.  Equally, you will need organisational and analytical skills to ensure processes are adhered to and the evaluation of students’ destinations has purpose.

You will be joining Kingsbury School at an exciting time as we are part of Castle Phoenix Trust and are very proud of our recent achievement to secure a good Ofsted outcome.  Being part of a Multi Academy Trust, and its associated teaching school, facilitates an opportunity to further develop our strategies to continue to invest in and develop our staff and, most importantly, bring about the best possible outcomes for our students who deserve the very best.

We will ensure you receive a comprehensive induction programme; every day will be different and we will play to your strengths.  We also offer a range of benefits which include the local government pension scheme, cycle to work scheme, discounted gym membership, free parking and an employee discount scheme and a commitment to staff wellbeing and recognition through our wellbeing committee.

Kingsbury has a great deal to be proud of, with a relentless focus on excellence and a desire to continuously improve.  If you have the passion and determination to be a valued part of our team, we would love to hear from you.
