Teaching Assistant 1:1 (2 Posts) -Horton Lodge special School
Horton Lodge School is looking to appoint two qualified, inspiring Teaching Assistants to join our strong and dedicated team in September 2019.
Horton Lodge School is a Local Authority Special School for children aged 2-11years with physical disabilities and associated learning difficulties. Our students have a range of complex learning needs including cognitive, physical, sensory, emotional and health related disabilities. The posts involve supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis to achieve their potential in their learning, physical, independence and social skills as well as supporting the class as a whole.
The successful candidates will truly hold the pupils well-being and learning at the centre of all they do, have good interpersonal skills, high standards and expectations and an understanding of the difficulties faced by young people with disabilities. A commitment to undertake training and implement new initiatives is required.

The two posts available for September 2019 are;
* TA Grade 3 temporary - 30 hours a week (term time only, daily hours 9am – 3.30pm)
* TA Grade 3 temporary - 25 hours a week (term time only, daily 9am – 2:30pm)
The successful candidate will undertake duties detailed in Teaching Assistant Job Profile AA6959 at Grade 3 term time only (SCP 10 – 13, £16,863 - £17,391 Full Time Equivalent).
