The Role

The Diocese of Coventry Multi Academy Trust is looking to appoint an enthusiastic and highly effective Early Years and Family Playworker to join us in supporting the academy to provide the best services for the Bedworth community.

From September 2019 

St. Michael’s Academy will provide Children and Family Centre services for children, young people and their families across the Bedworth area.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone to join our vibrant team who has the commitment to engage the community in a wide range of services.  The successful applicant will be able relate well to children and families and engage them in services which support the improvement of outcomes.

Key Requirements

By working flexibly and fulfilling the requirements of this post you should: 
•Hold a Level 2 qualification in Early Year’s 
•Have GCSE pass/ equivalent or working towards in English 
•Have a minimum of 2 years’ experience of working in an Early Year’s setting 
•Have knowledge and understanding of planning and implementing the Early Year’s Foundation Stage framework (EYFS) 
•Experience and ability to work with parents and carers to engage them in their children’s learning 
•Have sound knowledge of safeguarding requirements 
•Have good verbal, listening and communication skills 
•Have good organisational skills with the ability to take direction but also work collaboratively as part of a team 
•Have a commitment and the ability to work flexibly across all CFC services
