St Nicholas Owen Catholic MAC was established in October 2014, as part of the Diocesan Academy Strategy across the Archdiocese of Birmingham, and brought together our six schools which all have a strong tradition of excellence in Catholic education. The MAC was formed on the basis of effective working relationships, with the aim of strengthening and further improving the life chances of all the young people within our strong Catholic partnership. The Directors of the MAC, and all involved in our schools, are deeply committed to providing outstanding education firmly rooted in gospel values – our motto is “In Jesus we live learn and serve”.
We are a successful Catholic Multi Academy Company formed in October 2014, comprising one secondary school and five primaries. In February 2019 the Board of Directors appointed a Catholic Senior Executive Leader (CEO equivalent) to implement the MAC vision and to work with the Board to achieve our three strategic priorities: expanding the MAC, moving all our schools to Outstanding, maximising capacity and sustaining Catholic post-16 education.
To apply for the post, please write requesting an application pack from Mrs Stella Batson, PA to the Board off Directors: bdpa@stnicholasowen-mac.org.uk or visit our website to download an application pack.
Closing date for applications: 1st July 2019 noon. Interviews: week beginning 8th July 2019.
The MAC is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. All staff and volunteers are expected to share this commitment and all appointments will be subject to appropriate vetting, including an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
Some roles may need to comply with the Childcare Act 2006 and the Childcare (Disqualification) Regulations 2009 where additional disclosure of information will be required.
