The Role

Background

Lawrence Sheriff School is a selective boys' grammar school in the town centre of Rugby in Warwickshire. Many of the school’s halls and classrooms (including the Griffin Centre) are available for hire, to clubs, societies and the general public for a range of leisure activities during weekday evenings. The Griffin Centre is also a centre of excellence for table-tennis and hosts national and regional competitions throughout the year.

Job Purpose

The post-holder will be responsible for the promotion and supervision of internal and external lettings and events on the school site. Co-operative involvement in the life and ethos of the school is essential, and an interest in at least one of the school’s activities and sports would be an advantage.

Person Specification

We are looking for someone ideally with supervisory experience and a genuine desire to help develop sport and community activities.

Hours of work

22.5 hour per week – Monday to Friday evenings inclusive, 17:30 – 22:00. 
Some flexibility in hours worked may be required on occasional evenings. 
There may also be the requirement for weekend working on rare occasions.
