Job Details
Are you a committed team player with an eye for detail? Then why not consider joining our busy Electoral Services Team? You will play a key role in preparing for and conducting elections and referendums; maintaining the accuracy and comprehensiveness of the electoral register.
You will be motivated to embrace the demands of high profile elections, as well as a willingness to adapt to the requirements of Individual Electoral Registration legislation.
You will use your excellent communication skills to deal with councillors, candidates, election agents and council officers. In addition, you will be engaging with the public, effectively reaching out to under-represented groups to promote and encourage electoral registration.
You will be adept at working to tight deadlines as well as flexible in your day to day working, prepared to work extended hours, including occasional weekends at the time of the annual canvass and in the busy period leading up to elections taking place.
You will be enrolled as a member of the Association of Electoral Administrators and it would be an advantage if you hold the AEA Certificate or Diploma in Electoral Administration.
Experience using Xpress software would be desirable, but it is not essential. You must also have excellent IT skills.
If this sounds like the job for you, please contact Gillian Friar, Electoral Services Manager on 01926 456105.
Deadline for applications is 12 noon on 23 July 2019
Interview Date: Wednesday 31 July 2019
