About the Role

We invite applications for the post of Operational Office Manager to join our forward-thinking, very popular school. The successful candidate will join a friendly, welcoming, supportive and dedicated team.

Penkridge Middle School is a school with high expectations and standards. We are seeking to appoint a dynamic and committed Operational Office Manager to join our hard-working, dedicated, happy team of staff and children, who can enhance our administrative provision.

The postholder will be required to lead and develop the administrative function of the school, line manage administrative office staff and provide admin support to the Senior Leadership Team.

The postholder will need to be:

  • Highly organised with excellent planning, time management and attention to detail abilities.
  • Pro-active in resolving queries and able to find innovative ways of problem solving.
  • Able to work effectively and accurately under pressure and manage completing tasks within fixed timescales.
  • Well developed in research and analytical/evaluation skills with the ability to draw appropriate conclusions from complex information and offer considered recommendations to decision makers.
  • Able to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Able to understand and explain regulatory information relating to schools.
  • Able to work collaboratively across the Trust to ensure best practice is adhered to.

An ability to work in a very busy office with frequent interruptions is essential.

You will need to maintain a first aid certificate and be willing to undertake training.

The school is part of Penk Valley Academy Trust along with 4 other schools based in the local area:  St John’s (CE) First School, Marshbrook First School, Princefield First School, and Wolgarston High School.
