We wish to appoint an enthusiastic and very able Science technician who would like to join our academy. Key duties of this role are to provide a practical, daily technician service to members of the teaching staff through the preparation and maintenance of materials, Risk Assessments, apparatus, chemicals and other resources to enable students to carry out Science experiments. Suitable candidates should have a good standard of general education with a minimum of A-C GCSE in Science as well as knowledge and experience of working in a practical environment. Other skills we look for in our Science Technicians include:
• Flexible and adaptable approach to work;
• Experience working in a similar position
• Ability to work to own initiative;
• Ability to work alongside young people and adults;
• Good communication skills.
