Hours: 37 hours

Location: Dudley Borough

We are looking to recruit a motivated and experienced Advanced Social Work Practitioner to become part of our Child and Adolescent Response Team. This is an exciting position that will allow the applicant to work within a highly motivated team that specialises in providing edge of care support to children and families in Dudley.

Some of the key areas of focus for this position are:

  • To develop and lead reflective practice with the staff team
  • To undertake monthly staff supervisions and yearly performance reviews
  • Ensuring consistency and quality across the team, including the embedding of restorative practice
  • Advising on packages of support that will enable positive outcomes for families
  •  

As an Advanced Social Worker within CART you can expect: • A comprehensive learning and development package • High quality professional supervision • Supportive and collaborative team working • Excellent progression opportunities • A significantly streamlined IT system allowing more time away from admin and more time to work with children and their families.

The Child and Adolescent Response Team (CART) was formed in February 2017 and works with young people aged 9-17 years who are on the cusp of coming into the care of the Local Authority or who have been in care and there is a reunification plan for them to return home. The team deliver a whole family approach with the aim of preventing a young person becoming or remaining looked after and stabilising them within the family home.
