The Role

Stockingford Primary is at an exciting stage of its journey as in September it will be joining the Inspire Education Multi Academy Trust; currently a MAT of four Coventry Primary Schools. 
We are seeking to appoint a member of staff to join our school to support our vision for high quality Extended Schools Provision in our new Before and After School Care Club.

This is an exciting opportunity for a successful applicant who will be part of our school team in ensuring that our children are stimulated through play in a safe and friendly environment. You will deliver our exciting programme of activities and will be the person that our children can’t wait to see at the beginning and the end of the school day!

It is essential that the post holder holds a relevant qualification either NNEB, NVQ in Child Care/Play Work or equivalent.

22.5 Hours per Week

An initial actual salary of £9,745.33 - £9,940.29, with potential to rise to a full time, all year round salary of £18,795 - £19,171


Key Requirements

  • Knowledge of a range of activities to promote social/emotional and intellectual development of school aged children. 
  • Knowledge of suitable activities and play opportunities related to a child's age, abilities and needs.

  • Understanding of the Children's Act and Guidelines. 
  • Awareness and understanding of Child Protection. 
  • Knowledge of Health and Safety issues.

  • Able to provide children stimulating activities for school aged 
  • Ensure there are activities a variety of opportunities for children's 
  • Able to provide care and comfort to children, ensuring they feel secure. 
  • Be sensitive to the needs of children, recognising particular needs with regard to gender, ethnic origin and disability. 
  • Be aware of and able to meet the social and emotional needs of school-aged children on an individual basis and in a group setting. 
  • Able to communicate effectively at all levels. 
  • Able to liaise with professional workers in connection with work issues. 
  • Ability to relate easily and quickly to parents and children. 
  • Ability to build positive relationships with adults and children. 
  • Punctual and able to fulfil duties in a responsible manner.
