This is an exciting opportunity to lead the Council’s licensing service. You will manage the team and its activities, looking out for opportunities to continuously improve the performance of the service.

As Licensing Manager you will oversee the whole licensing process by monitoring quality, compliance and enforcement action. You will be used to presenting reports at committee meetings and be comfortable in presenting evidence in Court. 

You will represent the licensing service within and outside the Council, working closely with colleagues, elected members and external stakeholders such as the Police, residents and community groups. You will own the Council’s licensing policies and procedures and keep them up to date and fit for purpose. You will need to keep abreast of changes in legislation, guidance and good practice.
