Experienced Early Years Practitioner: Ref TV18619
Part Time (Term Time Only- 39 weeks per year)

Salary SPC 1-4 £17,207 - £18,771 per annum pro rata (Actual salary £9754) based on 27 hours work per week - term time

Hours of work to be between 7.30am-6.00pm Monday – Friday

Pheasey Park Farm Primary School Children’s Centre is run by the Governors of Pheasey Park Farm School.  The Children’s Centre is an integral part of the school offering support for families and child-care which was cited as ‘Good’ in all areas by Ofsted in 2017.   

Due to an increase in numbers we are looking to appoint a part time Practitioner.  The Nursery provides full day care provision for children aged 0 months to 4 years, as well as wraparound for 3 and 4 years accessing their Nursery Education funded places and before and after school clubs.  We are currently redesigning our provision to better meet the needs of our local community whilst further developing our business model to ensure its’ sustainability.  The successful applicants will strengthen the Nursery staff team and contribute positively to a high quality learning environment.

Key responsibilities for Early Years’ Practitioner roles include:

  • To assist Room leaders in providing an organised, welcoming and stimulating learning environment for all children;
  • Supporting all children in achieving their developmental milestones;
  • To implement the planned programme of activities as arranged by the room leader;
  • To carry out children’s observation in order to support the assessment of their learning and development;
  • To communicate with parents to achieve a positive relationship that supports their children’s well-being.

 The post will work under the direction of the Children’s Centre Manager/Head Teacher.  

Successful applicants will be team players and demonstrate excellent organisational, numeracy, literacy and ICT skills.

An enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check is required for all these posts prior to commencement.

Relevant medical clearance will also be required for successful candidates.
