Job Details
Phoenix is looking to appoint a motivated, independent and flexible Learning Support Practitioner, to provide a professional, comprehensive and confidential administrative service to the SEND Department, supporting the SENDCo and working actively and constructively with colleagues, students, parents/carers and external organisations and agencies.
You will be part of a busy Student Support department, dedicated to raising levels of achievement and helping to integrate students with special needs into the mainstream. The role requires a calm approach and a proven ability to balance conflicting demands and pressures.
Candidates must have experience of working in an education setting, understand the needs of students with special educational needs and have experience of working with families with complex social issues. As a minimum, applicants must have obtained GCSE Grade 5 or above (A* - C) or equivalent and NVQ level 3/BTEC or equivalent.
Phoenix is committed to the protection and safety of its pupils. An enhanced DBS will be required before commencement in the post.
