28.75 Hours per Week

Fixed term contract to 16 July 2021 to undertake a project/piece of work.

Working Hours: 8.45 am to 12.30 pm 1.15 am to 3.15 pm.

We are looking to appoint an experienced, enthusiastic, and motivated teaching assistant to join our friendly and committed school team from September 2019. The appointed person will work with the teaching staff to support children in the classroom.


Key Requirements

  • Be committed to own professional development, and be willing to undertake other appropriate training, preferably leading to nation standards (NVQ level 2). 
  • Minimum of GCSE (or equivalent) English and Maths at grades A – C. 
  • Have good communication and listening skills and be able to present information verbally and in writing. 
  • Have experience of TA work. 
  • To be able to feedback information to teachers/intervention manager. 
  • Understand school’s policies and how they relate to local and national frameworks/policies (e.g. child protection, health and safety, equal opportunities, SEN). 
  • Have good level of knowledge and understanding of SEN and areas of the curriculum. 
  • Can use ICT effectively to support learning (e.g. communicate in print, wigit, nessy, word-shark etc) and other types of technology. 
  • Can adapt planning if required. 
  • Can solve problems and can exercise initiative and independent action. 
  • Demonstrate full understanding of safeguarding issues within a school setting
